Almost 2,000 people participated in the digital Occupational Therapy Forum
After months of challenging digital transformation and preparations, it was finally time for Arbetsterapiforum 2021 on March 16-17! With the increased availability that the digital format entails, we broke records in the number of entries - almost 2,000 participants got to take part in over 60 program items, in the form of oral presentations, posters, inspirational lectures, specialist lectures, panel discussions about close care and a solemn inauguration.
Key speakers during the opening ceremony were Lena Hallengren, Minister for Health and Social Affairs, Olivia Wigzell, Director General of The National Board of Health and Welfare and Samantha Shann, President of WFOT. A special guest was HRH Prince Daniel of Sweden, that held a speech that started with these words "Dear Occupational Therapists, with your skills, knowledge and creativity, you contribute to more children passing school. That more adults can live an independent life. And that more people who have suffered from ill health can return to a functioning everyday life, based on their unique conditions. In short, you are making a crucial difference in the lives of very many people. It is an exceptionally important effort, both at the individual and at the societal level.”
