CAOT Conference Coming to the ‘Paris of the Prairies’

New Canadian Model of Occupational Participation Featured on CAOT’s ‘OT Conversations that Matter’ Podcast
Mary Egan and Gayle Restall, the editors of Promoting Occupational Participation: Collaborative Relationship-Focused Occupational Therapy, discuss three important developments included in the new textbook during the latest episode of “OT Conversations that Matter: The Podcast.”
Considered an evolutionary advancement in the thinking of Canadian occupational therapy, the publication introduces the new Canadian Model of Occupational Participation (CanMOP) and framework, the Canadian Occupational Therapy Inter-Relational Practice Process (COTIPP). During the podcast episode, the editors answer questions from CAOT members that address the primary aim of practice, how OTs should characterize relationships with clients, and how the profession is responding to justice, equity, and rights for individuals and collectives.
