Information from the 8th Asia Pacific Occupational Therapy Congress 2024 (APOTC 2024)

Pre-congress workshop is to be held on the day before the APOTC 2024 (Tuesday, November 5, 2024), and is a hands-on workshop in which congress participants from Japan and abroad can participate proactively. It is planned to be held face-to-face at the Sapporo Convention Center or a venue nearby (in Sapporo City).
Submission period: until Friday, March 31, 2023
Scientific workshop is a self-organized workshop to be held during APOTC2024 (November 6-9, 2024). Any type of workshop (lecture and/or hands-on activity) are welcomed. We invite participants of APOTC2024 to submit a workshop proposal.

“Call for Abstracts” is scheduled to start in April/May 2023
Authors will be asked to choose one category from Research, Practice, Education, Leadership and Management and then select the top three categories (there will be about 20 categories to choose from) that best describes the submission. You will choose types of presentations – Oral or Poster. Oral presentations will be 10 minutes to present + 5 minutes for Q & A. Poster presentation will require presenter to stand-by for 30 minutes on their presentation day.
There is also a separate slot available for Special Sessions in which you may want to consider. Special Sessions mainly focus on practice/case reports under the given themes and it will be 15 minutes presentations each, and plenary discussion after all speakers present. You will have an opportunity to select it during the abstract submission process.
Keynote Lecturer on Saturday 9th November Announcement
JAOT is very honored to announce one of the keynote lectures at APOTC2024 – Samantha Shann, President of WFOT. She will be giving a lecture on Saturday 9th November 2024.
